I would love to see the designer fabrics… Amy Butler, Michael Miller, Anna Maria Horner. I just love their fabrics!

  3. Barbara Says:

I agree with Nancy Bird, I love the precuts….turnovers, honey buns, and Moda Patisserie fabrics. Patterns by Lynette Anderson and Bronwyn…and Anne Sutton.

  4. Vicki H Says:

I like the layer cakes. I do like the charm pack also but the layer cakes I love.

  5. Ruth-Ellen Says:

More brights! I just saw some batiks with peace signs!

  6. Ravenhill Says:

I think your shop is great!!! I love getting your newsletters and checking out your blog!
    ~Emily

  7. Becky in Georgia Says:

I love Moda fabric especially the lines designed by 3 Sisters. Scrappy patterns to use charm pack collections :)

  8. Madelyne Kiernan Says:

I would like to see more quilting stencils and marking tools, ie, chalk powders, mechanical pencils, quilting paper etc.

  9. Shelley C Says:

I haven’t been to the shop to see if you carry this brand, but from what I’ve read online, Creative Grid rulers are the preferred brand and sometimes harder to find in shops. Also, there seems to be alot of interest in the USA rotary blade sharpeners. In these down economic times, everyone is trying to save a buck, so resharpening blades is cost effective.

  10. Kyra Says:

Hi there! I’m new to your site, so I took a look around. I honestly don’t know what you could add. I actually found what I have been looking for! Selvedge! So, great job on your great selection of products, you offer all my favorites! (I’m going to hold off on ordering the selvedge just in case I win!) :)

  11. Cathy Weber Says:

I would like to see you carry all the new Accuquilt Dies. I am excited to see what the new ones are from Quilt Market.

  12. Janice D Says:

At the moment I am trying to sew up all the projects I have ready to go, but am also collecting charm squares as I love flowers. I love delicate fairy fabrics, too.

  13. Anya Says:

Books are always fun to look at. Thanks for the chance.

  14. Pamela Says:

I love geometrics (dots, sprials, stripes)—the brighter, the better! Thanks for asking!

  15. SewCalGal Says:

I’d love to go to Quilt Market with you. How exciting. Here are some products I recommend you consider stocking:
    - Slimline fabric marking pencils (in various colors)
    - Snapware craft storage
    - fabrics that work in a Tuscan, British, and romantic themes
    - fabrics in earth tones
    - organic fabrics & battings

    Have fun shopping.

  16. Becky Says:

I’m not a quilter (yet!) I am a home decor/apron/tote bag/clothing seamstress and am very happy to have found you through Shop Hop!

I notice you carry college fabrics. Any chance you might carry more than just NCSU and UNC? Maybe other ACC schools – please? Half of our “mixed marriage” is a Wake Forest/Clempzin fan!

I’m also interested in those purse frames that open and stay open til ya snap ‘em shut.

Your store is close enough to me to qualify for a nice day trip! Looking forward to wandering over that way soon.

~Becky betwixt Chapel Hill and Pittsboro

  17. Gaye Says:

I remodeled my kitchen recently & used a coffee theme for the canisters, curtain fabric, etc. I made a table quilt out of a coffee theme panel. It turned out really great since I made the pattern in my head!. I would love to see more coffee & tea theme fabrics. These fabrics come in many colors & prints. Also, herb theme fabrics would be nice for kitchen accents since herbs are potted & used in the kitchen. They not only serve to accent foods but look lovely growing on the window sill. Loralie has come out with a pretty, fun print for the bath/powder room. I am going to make quilted prints to frame. That would be fun, inexpensive & would give a playful, fresh look to any bathroom with the tubs & bubbles as borders. If these prints came in charm packs & jelly rolls that would be great!

  18. Amy Brooks Says:

I would like you all to carry Michael Miller’s new fabric line by Patty Young. It is so beautiful!! Also, some 1.25 cotton webbing would be great!! Thanks for the great store!

  19. anne boggs Says:

I agree with Nancy on the pre-cuts, I personally came in working on a project that called for Moda honeybuns, and there was only one pattern to choose from. More pre-cuts and more children’s clothing patterns!!

  20. Renee's Country Quilts Says:

Anything Country. I also love water colors.
    Thank You
    Renee

  21. Mary on Lake Pulaski Says:

I think you should carry Texture Magic and patterns for bags and baby quilts using the product.

  22. Susan Rowe Says:

The guild I belong to make Quilts of Valor and smaller quilts for charities. I am always looking for patriotic and primary color bargins.

  23. Juanita Says:

Batiks are my favorite, though you have a good selection already. :) I enjoy reading your blog. Hope your trip is a good one.

  24. Sue Goodin Says:

    I agree with Nancy.
I also love all the pre-cuts but I also like all of the patterns to go with them.
I also wish the Scrap Therapy was closer to me. That would be a plus.

  25. Lauri McCormick Says:

I love the batiks and the non-traditional quilt fabrics. I would also like to see more about bargello – either classes or books.
Thanks for asking, Cathy and have fun at the Quilt show!

  26. Joy Heimark Says:

Just keep on doing what you’re doing — you’ve got a great selection and great prices.

  27. Joani Baldwin Says:

I too love the precuts..especially the 10″ Layer Cakes…and, besides the Strip Therapy books that can be used for the jelly rolls and Bali Pops, how about some of your and your staff’s design ideas for Bali Pops and/or jelly rolls? I’ve only been quilting not quite 2 years and now I want to get more into the ‘Artsy Quilts’…so I already have some of the Landscape & Photography books & quilt idea….but, what about some ideas or quilts already designed that are ‘artsy’ but still for early intermediate quilters? The Mark Lipinski & Kaffe (what’s-his-name’s) bright colored fabrics & those of Amy Butler & others who have ‘bright’ designs.

Darker fabric pencils (that can be easily removed by washing or rubbing, etc)…there seem to be many lighter colors, but few ‘dark’ ones. Maybe more DVDs regarding teaching how to quilt Queen & King quilts on regular home sewing machines…I have a book or two on how to do them in pieces, but I haven’t seen a DVD on the processes. I can do things by reading, but ‘seeing the process over & over’ is important to me too :)

Also, I love the 108″ backings…but of colors & weights that would be good for making tablecloths for larger tables :) Oh! and what about some of the ‘new’ wool battings? I’ve heard of them, but haven’t seen them.

Have fun at your Quilt Market!!! I love going to our local/regional home sewing machine Quilt Shows! Enjoy! Joani B.

  28. Ellen Hurd Says:

I love patterns especially the paper piecing ones. I also love nifty new gadgets to help with many projects I am doing.

Good luck with your shopping. Ellen

  29. Sharon Colburn Says:

My favorite fabric for baby quilts and wall hangings are the reproduction fabrics of the 30′s and such. They make such sweet, scrappy-looking quilts.

  30. Margo Reilly Says:

Hi, love your site…would like to try some landscape quilts- but since I am a beginner/intermediate quilter, all the books I have seen look a little bit more involved than my skill level can handle….would love to see some patterns that I can try without feeling so intimidated……Have a great trip at the Quilt Market

  31. Cynthia I Says:

I recently found your store. There are some great fabrics. My newest favorites are the charm packs. I like the variety and versatility. I am very excited to see what you bring back. Have fun!

  32. Amanda Says:

I love everything, so it would be hard for me to tell you what to choose.

    Have fun in Pittsburgh!

  33. Laura Says:

Batiks are my favorite, including the Bali Pops. I also like easy-to-do but innovative patterns, since my full-time job interferes with my quilting time!

  34. Jennifer Fraunfelder Says:

Have an awesome time in Pittsburgh. I would love to go to something like that. I would be in absolute fabric heaven.
I would love to see Tanya Whelan fabrics such as Darla collection and more fabrics from Moda and Michael Miller. and have you seen American Jane Snippets? such cute fabric. and 30s reproductions are fun and hip.
Cant wait to hear about your trip when ya get back.
    Jennifer F.

  35. Vivian Oaks Says:

Hi! I live just 45 minutes from Pittsburgh! Wish I could come to Quilt Market, but I guess it’s only for retailers. (Otherwise, I’d be there!!!) Love your store! I don’t know of anything else I’d like to see on your site. I’ve been drooling over McKenna Ryan’s “Willow” line of fabrics, but even those I’m not buying right now, even though I love them. I’m currently working on a quilt-as-you-go log cabin quilt for my son and his fiance. I have one week to finish it, and don’t think it will get done in time…

  36. Lynn Says:

Charm packs, michael millers, alexander henry, I’m looking for someone in the US who sells Lynette Anderson’s patterns, Bunny Hill fabric, and especially some Japanese prints – yes most definitely those!
Thanks for the give-away – maybe it’ll be my lucky day.
    Lynn (Cary)

  37. Kathy Stinehelfer Says:

    Cathy,
The designs from Free Spirit always seem to appeal to me. They are usually bright and colorful as well as especially soft to the hand. I especially like to make flannel rag quilts to send as baby gifts and as friendship gifts. So bring back more flannels for the winter, both for adults and for babies. Thanks for having such great prices, great classes and a fabulous sales staff! You should go to a baseball game in Pittsburgh while you’re there!! Have fun!!

  38. Lisa Louque Says:

Batiks, batiks and a few more batiks! That is all.

  39. Amy F Says:

I would love to see 8.5 x 11 newsprint sheets for copying and foundation piecing. Also the Quilters Dream bamboo and recycled bottle backing look pretty cool. Thanks for asking.

  40. Karen Diebolt Says:

Oh my gosh, you already carry so much. My favorites are Michael Miller, Earth Spirit by Northcot, and I like ethnic fabrics.

  41. Christi Scheffel Says:

I think anyway that you can help keep costs down in this economy is great. Scrap quilts are always my favorite because they teach me to use every piece. I’m always on the lookout for better marking tools. It’s hard to mark on light and dark fabric, see the lines and then sew. Thanks and have fun. Wish I could go.

  42. Nancy Rowe Says:

I love quick pre-cut quilt kits such as quillow’s, pillow cases, table runners, toto bags, etc.

  43. Vicky Morrow Says:

I’d love to see more batiks, with patterns for advanced to expert levels. I’d also like to find bamboo fabric and battings.

  44. Lori Flintrop Says:

I really love the asian fabrics, black & whites, and batiks. I have been looking for a book on bargello quilts. I saw one once and did not buy it at the time and now I can’t find one.
    Have fun shopping!

  45. Helen White Says:

Your site is really the CAT”S MEOW.” Seriously, you have the best selection of batiks, Mark Lipinski, Nature’s Pallette, to name a few. Been out of commission for about a year with Chronic Fatigue Immune Defiency Syndrome and feel life coming back to me, so I can continue with quilting. My poor machines think I have abandoned them. A couple of weeks ago, I was on your site for hours, You have a plethora of products to soothe my soul., and encourage me to begin quilting once again. I was quite taken aback by al of the brands you carry. One stop shopping!

  46. Conny Says:

What a great idea to ask quilters what they want in your store. I love antique looking fabrics as well as very bright colors like Kaffe Fasset.

  47. michelle cress Says:

Love the blog! I am currently “into” really modern, funky bright fabrics.

  48. Lee Says:

Love love love your shop! Would love to see Lynnette Anderson patterns also. I did her freebee embroidery from her website. The Noah’s Ark was soooo cute. She also has pieced quilt patterns. I have only one regret….I applied too late for the block of the month this year from the shop. Have more openings next time or have pity on a procrastinator! Have a great and safe trip. Take lots of pictures.

  49. Sherry Says:

I love all the precuts & would like to see more patterns using the precuts. Thanks for offering the giveaway!

  50. Connie A Rowe Says:

I love the charm packets, western theme prints and fabrics to make “I Spy Quilts”. Wish I could attend with you. Have a GREAT time.

  51. Robyn Says:

I love reproduction fabrics and books. I also love the stitcheries by the Australian designers like Rosalie Quinlan, Gail Pan, Cinderberry Stitches, Red Brolly. . .

  52. Stacey Williams Says:

There are so many fun fabrics in the store, I don’t know what you could add, but I’m sure any new fabric would be great. I would like to see thread in larger spool sizes. I’ve talked with a few people and they like the Aurifil brand. I have seen it, but haven’t used it. It seems to be really smooth and strong. Have a great trip and thank you!

  53. Shanna Ragan Says:

I love your store!! I especially love the variety of Moda you carry. Please continue to carry a wide selection! A lot of stores only carry a few lines. It would be nice to see a few more rotary cutting templates…like the ruler to make kaliedescope quilts. Also quilting templates are a plus. I live about 10 minutes from the store and just love it!! Thanks!!

  54. Anne Caton Says:

I’m always looking to find even more batiks and lately, because I have an extremely busy day job. I’ve been kit crazy…particularly batik kits. (I feel like I’m cheating a little, but I am able to pump out wonderful quilts in quick order!). Plus those batiks make awesome scrap quilts!

  55. Sue S Says:

    Cathy,

Love your store and wish I could get there more often. Being a quilting novice I am always looking for something different but relatively “easy”. Have a safe trip to Pittsburgh and happy shopping.

  56. Megan Says:

I’ve been on the lookout for a Dresden plate ruler at the local shops with no luck – I’m not a big fan of paper piecing. So if you come across one and think of it, it would be great to have one in the shop. I saw a tutorial for using the ruler here: http://bittybitsandpieces.blogspot.com/2009/02/dresden-plate-tutorial.html.
Hope you have a great time at Market!!

  57. Susan Says:

I love the Coverlet Collection from Windham Fabrics.

I would also love to find more hand dyed woool.

  58. Janice Martell Says:

Hi! Love your website. I would like to find wool felt in pretty colors. It’s easy to find the earthy tones of greens and browns, but I’d love to find some in pinks, blues, purples, etc. Precut quilt kits work for people like me who love to quilt but don’t have the time or desire to search for coordinates and do all the cutting. Keep up the good work!

  59. Kim McM. Says:

I really like bold fabrics, in the style of Kaffe Fassett, Mark Lipinski, Anna Marie Horner (to name a few). Also, more art quilting supplies would be good! Thank you for the nice variety of things you already offer!

  60. QuilterBridget Says:

There is something pretty new out that’s exactly like the Easy Angle 2, only instead of having to tape it to your machine bed, it’s made of self-sticking, removable plastic. I love my Easy Angle 2 because it’s easier to use than drawing lines on the back of 500 squares for flying geese units! But taping it on every time is a pain. ALSO, I’d like to be able to find silk, wool, and bamboo batting that’s sold in twin-size and smaller packages. One more thing, I’m a sucker for all the latest gadgets and notions!!!
I love shopping your site! Have fun at Market!!!

  61. Marguerite Namdar Says:

I’m really looking for a blue and yellow fabric with either tea pots or dishes.
I also love civil war fabrics, Sturbridge, George Washington types.
Thanks for helping me blog. I’ve always wanted to but didn’t know how.

  62. jan russell Says:

I too like your site,,,,,,,your fabric is awesome. My next projects I want to find some southwestern batiks and coordinates and batiks with fall colors..

  63. sewlung Says:

I would LOVE to learn how to do fabric scrapbooking…I think it would be a great way to use up my smaller scraps and a fun gift to make for family and friends.

  64. Jean Beckstrom Says:

I like collections with a lot of choices of size and color coordinating and contrasts. It gives my creativity a good challenge.
PS in case I am a winner you need to know I will be away for 3 weeks and will not be able to respond quickly—just in case.
    Jean

  65. Kritta22 Says:

I’m loving all the precuts too!

But also black and whites. Especially fat quaters of those. And all the esty shops seem to run out pretty fast!

  66. Samantha Says:

I love the more modern palettes, fabrics and designs.

  67. Marti Tourville Says:

I love your website. Have ordered several times. I love kits (table runners, wall hangings etc). I also love paper piecing and bargello quilts. Keep up what you are doing, you are doing a great job with you site.

  68. Quilter Kim Says:

I’m trying some kaleidescope cutting, and understand there are angle sets just for that, and books and DVD’s…anything on a new tangent for me.

  69. Cecilia Says:

Hi, I like the charm squares and would also like to see more marking tools. Thanks for the chance to win. I found your shop on the Shop Hop and receive your emails. Thanks again.

  71. Linda Dutka Says:

I’d like to see more Michael Miller fabrics at your store and on your website.

  72. Marcia Says:

I’d like to throw in my wish list for the Bunny Hill fabrics; most especially Chelsea Manor. Also the Autralian designer patterns like cinderberry. Thank you for asking what we want. I rarely see any shop ask what their customers want. I don’t understand that but I do thank you for asking!

  73. Kate Says:

I have an ongoing love affair with Kaffe Fassett fabric. Also lately I have been looking for fabric with classic children’s book illustration or art, especially Alice in Wonderland. I am also looking for dinosaur fabric with real dinosaur illustrations, not cute stylized cartoon like dinosaurs. I am also interested in making a few I Spy quilts and I am looking for fabric with pictures of identifiable objects. Actually I Spy jelly rolls would be wonderful, save me a lot of time and effort. One for boys, one for girls, and one gender neutral. I Spy quilts are a wonderful gift for babies, toddlers, even preschoolers.

  74. Ilene Brown Says:

I love your site and store. I, too, love your selection of Batiks and think you never have enough of them. The only time I have been disappointed is that most fabric stores carry only one bolt per pattern or color and I fall in love with it only to find not enough yards left on bolts. Buy more bolts! Just a suggestion. Thank you.

  75. Nancy Blankenship Says:

I love your site and the quick service when I place an order. I usually have a wish list of what I want to order next. I’m interested in art quilts and smaller wallhangings; along with small quilts & toys for toddlers.

  76. April Bible Says:

Do you think there will be any new Paper Doll fabrics coming out? You have a great selection of everything (including gadgets – I LOVE GADGETS) – maybe you will come across some new gotta-have gizmos on your shopping trip! April

  77. Barb J Says:

Your site is one of the ones I always check when I am looking for quilting things! I am making purses, so the modern fabrics (rather than repros) are what I always look for. I’m from Pittsburgh, so I hope to see you at Market!

  78. Jan Says:

I love the fabrics from Laundry Basket Quilts, Edyta Sitar from Moda she makes some great Batiks

  79. Jennifer H. Says:

Would love to see some of the japanese fabrics from Kokka, seven seas etc. Otherwise, you all do a great job!

  80. Peggy M. Says:

I love most anything Moda! Also love patterns by Heather Mulder Peterson/Ankas Treasures, Fig Tree Quilts, Miss Rosie including those lovely Schnibbles. I love small, inexpensive kits…especially if they are from Moda. Have a blast at market and thanks for asking!

  81. Dirnov Says:

blog.wishuponaquilt.com – da best. Keep it going!
    Thank you
    Dirnov

  83. Kathy Cather Says:

Books or patterns that help with the stash busting. Using all of brights, darks, patterned, stripes and plaids together. Your site is so fun to browse through. Thanks.

  84. Sue Cahill Says:

I love pre-cuts, the more the better!
Charm squares of novelty prints are especially handy for kids quilts.

  85. Sara Says:

I’m a new quilter and I already love your store, but I’d love to see more “old-fashioned” looking fabrics. Your pre-cuts are awesome, maybe some more patterns for them?

Love Kaffe Fassett and other Westminster designers, charm packs, batiks, patterns for charm packs, bags and aprons. Have fun!

  87. Carline Anthony Says:

Thanks for a great variety in the sales room too – it’s fun to browse through!

  89. Niki Says:

I love your selection anyway, would love to see more Alexander Henry fabrics!! And of course all the bright & fun stuff! Ya, know and while you’re there…..any new purse hardware would be awesome! Thanks for letting us have the chance to “tell mom what you want” since lots of us won’t be able to attend market! Have fun for us!!

  90. Celia Says:

I love everything about your shop. I am a local shopper and would also like to see more evening hours for those of us who work full time. I am interested in anything new. 97. Nancy Spaulding Says:

I love your Moda charm packs. Your choice of fabric is terrific. I’m inspired every time I come into your store. I would like to see more rulers. Do they make a 10.5″ square?

  98. HomespunHouse Says:

I love kits in the $20 to $30 range. Something quick, useful, and won’t break my budget. I love the everything from the newest Amy Butler/Kaffe Fasset to soft florals from Fig Tree and Debbie Beaves from RJR to reproductions from Barbara Brackman-Terry Clothier Thompson and Jo Morton, and lots of styles in between.

  99. Emily Says:

I’m excited about the new patterns available on Amy Butler’s new software!

  100. June Gibbs Says:
