A Dream Realized by Carol Beck, 2008

Carol Beck of Durham, NC shared this beautiful quilt with us last week. Carol was on of just 44 master quilters selected to make a quilt for Barack Obama’s inauguration and the quilt was the only quilt selected from North Carolina. The quilt is part of a Historical Society of Washington, D.C. exhibit, “Quilts for Obama: Celebrating the Inauguration of our 44th President”. The exhibit will travel throught the US after the inauguration, so maybe you will get a chance to see it in person.  We are so proud of Carol on this great accomplishment, thank you Carol for sharing with us!

Meet the staff…

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

If you have been in our store, you may have wondered what the woman in the office is doing, it seems she never leaves that computer! Meet Janice, our online order processor. Janice is the one that makes sure that our orders are shipped out timely and accurately. She is the “glue” that holds everything together at Wish! In her spare time, Janice is also a very talented quilter. She made this beautiful batik quilt all out of fabrics in our sale room! Do you have a project you would like to share made from “great buy” fabrics?
